installing a 6.5 hp 212cc go kart torque converter clutch

I recommend starting over with a clearer explanation and a proofread before posting(?).

I have the ability to drill and tap the shaft to install longer set screws, but I'm not a big fan of this idea. The shaft on the Predator 212 is threaded for a bolt, but the clutch is not all the way on the crankshaft, so I could add a bolt to stop the clutch from sliding outward, but I would have to be careful about how tight I install it, and I'm not sure if the clutch would have a tendency to slide inward, which if it did at all the bolt would have nothing to push against. I know these clutches work better when the gear is on the inboard side, but without some frame modifications I'm not sure how feasible that is. My first thought was that maybe there is play in the hub causing the sprocket to pull sideways on the chain and clutch, but everything about the wheel feels perfectly tight with no play. It has two set screws that I added threadlocker to and tightened as tight as they can possibly go. The clutch slides until the chain gets misaligned and pops off. Note: The 3/4' bore kit includes a small bronze bushing or sleeve on the pully plate that is not included with the 1' bore kit as it is superfluous for that size. Compatibility including models from Baja Motorsports, Hammerhead, Manco (Dingo), Murray, and Yerf-Dog. These converter kits will replace the older Comet 218355A Torq-A-Verter, and they are commonly used on go-karts and other applications equipped with 6.5 Hp 196cc and 8.0 Predator engines. The kit includes a black plastic cover and a 203589, 203589A, 5959, (or equivalent) asymmetric go-kart drive belt. Both versions of this go-kart torque converter come with a driven pulley with a 5/8' diameter shaft and 10 tooth sprocket. This bore size will match the size of your horizontal Predator engine drive shaft. This is the Comet TAV2 Series 30 style kit with a 40/41/420 chain sprocket available with either a 3/4' or 1' bore drive clutch.
